Coaching Can Help Increase Your Effectiveness and Reduce Fear

As we move into 2021, everyone has their hopes set on having a better year than 2020. Not everyone had a horrible year last year, but everyone faced some type of challenge. It was interesting, to say the least. As you look forward, you may be wondering how to get yourself back on track, out of a rut or how to simply over-achieve.

If you are also shouldering the responsibility of leading others and making tough decisions, it can be a lonely place to be. I was being interviewed for an upcoming podcast and one of the questions I was asked, is what is the most common reason people seek coaching.

Loneliness. Without question. Ever heard, “it’s lonely at the top”?

We work with a few companies that are under 3 years old and I can tell you that for these CEOs, the hardest thing they face is getting the support they need. They aren’t quite at the point of hiring a senior leadership team, so where do they turn to bounce ideas off of and get the reassurance that they are on the right track?

I know the market is flooded with coaches and consultants and it might take a minute to find one that clicks with your personality. There’s a lot of knowledgeable coaches and consultants, but when you are wanting someone to keep you on track and moving forward, aligning in values and behaviors is just as important.

So where else can a coach help, especially when it comes to Leadership? Here are my thoughts:

  • Working with you and your managers to help build resilience and keep things in perspective

  • Helping you calm the storm and develop a plan so you can work efficiently and effectively without feeling so overwhelmed

  • Boost morale and help create a work environment where people feel safe to open up and become more productive

  • Developing plans to retain talent, develop teams, and build a depth of knowledge internally which is all part of succession planning

  • Providing insights that can create new opportunities and efficiencies that you may not have ever thought of, and

  • Being your North Star. Coaches are there for YOU, we aim to keep you focused and fully supported so you can be the best you can be which allows the world to reap the benefits from having experienced you and your company.

If you or your team is a bit out of sorts, need a nudge in the right direction, or just want a partner ensuring you reach your goals, I would recommend looking into getting a coach. We’ve helped many companies and leaders increase their effectiveness and reduce fears.

You don’t have to go it alone.
